Yellow is my favorite color. Favorite! And I’ve been working into decorating with more yellow over the course of several years. It’s one of those colors that just makes me incredibly happy to see in my apartment. I love the more subtle Sarah Richardson designs above, with bits of yellow in a bright white space. I also admire the bold yellow walls in this Jamie Drake design featured in ELLE Decor. Right now I’m working on striking a balance between adding yellow and overloading on yellow.

These shades of yellow are so happy- I totally want to paint my walls now! It would make me smile everytime I walked into the room!

I would love to paint, but unless I want to paint back when I move out my apartment walls will stay beige for now. At least they aren’t all white, though. Right now I’m trying to figure out which piece of furniture to paint or reupholster yellow… haha!
