I am just in that “Make what’s old feel new again” mode of spring. I seem to get this way every year when the sun finally comes out in Seattle. It’s been straight gorgeous here so it’s finally time to Windex the windows, and make things feel fresh. On Friday I stayed late at school rearranging all of the furniture in my classroom, and on Saturday I rearranged all of the furniture in my little studio apartment. Oh my heavens, you guys, I think I have finally found the best solutions for both spaces.
My little apartment is tricky because not only is it itty bitty, but it’s got a ton of windows I don’t want to block, a major Seattle skyline view I want to showcase, and I have a lot of furniture. I’m a firm believer that you don’t need to have tiny furniture in a tiny space and you don’t have to sacrifice furniture in a tiny space. It’s all in how you arrange it. I’d been working on drafting up different versions of possibly plans, then on Saturday I had my friend Oliver over and showed him my Pinterest boards and sketches, and he helped me to pick a lane. Right after he left I got to work and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
