Merry Christmas Eve, friends! I hope you’re having a lovely holiday season and have lots of fun planned with family and friends in the coming days. I’ve been checking things off my Christmas 2015 bucket list left and right including skiing, ice skating, and today, DIYing my very own tacky Christmas sweater.
My friends at Value Village challenged me to come up with my own holiday sweater design and I jumped at the chance! I love crafting and my glue gun and I are super tight. I had so much fun with this silly project! The best thing about tacky Christmas sweaters is…they’re tacky! They don’t have to be perfect, so this is a great project for crafters at any level.
- old sweater I found mine at Value Village for $4.99 and went with a red backdrop for my Christmas tree design
- collection of cheesy Christmas pins I cleaned out the display at Value Village and found some great ones including a poinsettia, two snowmen, and a teddy bear head (haha!)
- old mardi gras beads
- green and yellow felt
- puff balls in festive colors (the sparklier the better!)
- medium sized jingle bells
- gold ribbon
- hot glue gun
- paper grocery sack
