Details Last weekend I made the trek back to my hometown to visit my dearest, oldest friend Suzy and her baby bump for her baby shower. I had a fabulous time seeing here and talking about how exciting it will be once her little one arrives. At the end of the trip we made the realization that the next time I see her she will have a baby and it will be a much different trip! I truly can’t wait and couldn’t be happier for her. Ahhhh, babies.
For my thirtieth and final outfit I wanted to dress up a bit for the party. I opted for this little UO dress, which is no longer available online, so my apologies! I paired it with all neutrals including this tan open cardigan, brown belt and booties, and grey tights. Overall I thought that the mix of neutrals played well together and let the unique color and pattern of the dress take center stage. I’ve always wanted to belt this cardigan to make it appear shorter and this was my first attempt. I think it was a nice effect and makes this cardigan more versatile for other outfits.
Apologies for the first photo since it came out a bit blurry in the evening light. The weekend was so fun and I’m so glad I was able to make the trip for this special event.
My pal Suzy and me. Love her.
The massive haul of baby gifts…this isn’t even all of it!
Suzy’s pals and her Mama did a great job of putting together a lovely lunch and party to celebrate Suzy.
We played a few games including one where we had to memorize items on a tray. It’s clear I don’t really know much about baby stuff.
Yay for a great weekend!

Details This may very well be the simplest outfit in my 30 yet, but for good reason. Last Saturday I drove to Kennewick, Washington, my hometown, to visit my fantastic friend (and soul sister) Suzy for her baby shower. It was a lovely affair filled with fun, food, family and friends and a great way to celebrate her little bundle of joy prior to her arrival. If I look a little stunned/sleepy in these photos, keep in mind I may have stayed up too late wrapping baby gifts the night before. I had to get up at 6:00 AM on Saturday to get there at a decent hour and although I missed my ritual sleep in Saturday and lazy coffee routine, it was well worth it to see my girl, prego belly and all.
I doubled up outfits on Saturday to finish up my 30 over the weekend. Sunday was the first day in a LONG time I haven’t taken an outfit photo and it was kind of nice to throw my hair back and take a break, especially with a long drive home. I took lots of gorgeous photos over the weekend, but here are a few of my very favorites.
