IKEA fabric layout

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend! I spent part of mine working on a sewing project for my kitchen that I’ve been meaning to get to for months! Luckily I bought the fabric back in December for a steal of a deal at IKEA. Which leads me to this post and two critical questions…

1. Did you know IKEA sells fabric by the yard?
2. Did you know how incredibly cute and cheap it is?

If you answered no to either or both of these questions, let me introduce you to the lovely selection of graphic prints available at IKEA. I love to sew and reupholster furniture, and am always on the hunt for cute, durable, chic yet budget-friendly textiles. I have been loving the collections lately at Swedish home outfitter IKEA for awhile now. I’ve used a few of their fabrics for projects over the years and they are all under $10 per yard and totally adorable.

This weekend I used the yellow floral print above (#1) for a kitchen project which I’ll be sharing more about in the next Happy Home post. Although you can view all of these fabrics on their website you can only buy them in store. It’s super easy, too. Each store is equipped with a self-service cutting table and packaging station, and the best part is no waiting in the cutting line. Most styles are printed on a heavy cotton canvas, perfect for upholstery, pillows, and a ton of other projects. Yay!
