It’s been so gorgeous in Seattle lately and I can’t help but take a million photos from my windows. It’s nearly spring and it’s staying lighter later into the evening, making for a sweeping return of the beautiful Seattle sunset. I’m off work this week and enjoying some stay-cation time and my number one goal is to get back to the blog… so here it goes!

I’ve taken a bit of a blog break for a lot of this school year due to workload and a million other things going on in my life. I have to say, though, that I’ve been thinking about this blog a lot and am filled with ideas to come back and make it better than ever. I’ve got a few fun things in the works and I can’t wait to share them with you. I’m taking this blog into more of a lifestyle direction and plan to share more of the other parts of my life, in addition to style posts. If there’s something you’re interested in hearing more about please let me know!

As I’ve been gathering inspiration I’ve found a few things around the internet that I wanted to pass along to you…

1. Veronika’s Sunshine Coast Vacation pics from her recent adventures at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort in Sunshine Coast, British Columbia. It looks like a beautiful future getaway destination for me and the boyfriend someday…

2. Katrina’s adorable manicure ideas from Valentine’s Day are so cute you could wear then any day. I’m going to try to recreate one this week!

3. Yesterday I found a beautiful mid-century teapot from Thomas Germany at the local Goodwill for $6! This has put me on the hunt for other pieces online. I love these Thomas Germany pieces on Etsy that match the one I found.

4. I got an iPad mini for Christmas and am totally in love with it. That said, it’s more like my expensive Pinterest pinning device. I’ve been pinning like a madwoman for everything from my classroom, meal ideas, outfits, and my favorite, ideas for my apartment makeover.

5. Have you heard Iliza Schlesinger? Lately I’ve been loving female comedians and luckily a bunch of new stand-up is on Netflix and Hulu. Iliza simply kills me and the boyfriend with all of her funny faces, silly noises, and accurate commentary on relationships. Check our her latest stand-up Freezing Hot on Netflix ASAP! My favorite joke of hers is, of course, about Pinterest
