It’s been unseasonably warm here in the Emerald City and husband and I have been rotating fans around our little apartment. Wednesday was in the 80s and we spent the day doing touristy fun stuff with my husband’s visiting relatives.  We went to SAM to see the classical landscape paintings and then to EMP for the real excitement.  The current exhibit on Nirvana is packed with over 200 artifacts from the band’s history and includes an audio tour narrated by Krist Novaselic, bassist for the legendary threesome.

I am a ridiculous fan and have bunches of books, every album, and videos saved on my laptop.  For those of you who share my passion, there are some videos and clips from the exhibit after the jump.  Enjoy!

The founders of Sub Pop Records recall putting together their first contract with Nirvana.

The best thing I saw was this fuzzy cardigan worn by Kurt from 1991-1994, most notably during the shoot for MTV Unplugged in 1993.  It was a thrift store special for 25 cents with holes in the sleeves for his thumbs to slide into.  Standing across from it took my breath away for a second.
