Hello friends! As always I’ve been listening to tons of new and new to me music. My interests have led me down many different musical pathways this summer. I’ve been listening to everything from the Notorious B.I.G. to Chainsmokers (no, not that silly #Selfie song) and the incomparable Jimi Hendrix. One of the things I do best is research my favorite musicians lives. I live for biopics and documentaries that help me to fully immerse myself in music. And friends, this Jimi Hendrix documentary, I Hear My Train a Comin’ is quite something.

I’ve always wanted to know more about the fascinating life of the greatest guitarist the world has ever seen, a Seattle legend that has truly stood the test of time. Watching footage of him on stage and talking to reporters in 1966 I had to remind myself this is from 1966. It just felt like it could have been filmed last week somehow, that he’s still 25, and the coolest thing since sliced bread.

You can watch Jimi Hendrix: I Hear My Train a Comin’ now on Netflix.
