I love weekends. Each week I really appreciate them more and more. It wasn’t that long ago that I was a slave to the retail merchandising schedule, living my life by the calendar of deliveries. This meant long hours, an unpredictable schedule, and weekends were generally my busiest days of the week barring a Tuesday rollout. One of the things I looked forward to most in my life as a teacher (apart from the rewards of educating our future, yada, yada, yada) was having Saturdays and Sundays off. I try to live those days to the fullest every week, relax, have fun, get chores and shopping done. Too bad I don’t have cable or I’d definitely be watching Saturday morning cartoons. That’d be the real cherry on top.
In other news, I’ve realized that I officially no longer care about any color rules, past or present. This weekend I celebrated this by wearing this black and blue outfit (bruises, anyone?) and a cranberry jacket with green pants (just trying to match all those holiday displays, I guess). Do you think I can make yellow and black chic together? Oy. That might be pushing it.
