Details  Let’s be honest with ourselves for a moment… Color blocking is kind of a hilarious trend. I mean, it’s like throwing a bunch of bright colors together and just seeing what happens. Luckily I like bright colors and have quite a few options. It’s true. This fall I’ve had to really force myself to buy some black and brown neutral pieces so this trend was made for people like me with Crayola box closets. Sometimes the results look like you’re a seven-year-old dressing herself for the first time. Luckily for me I work with seven-year-olds all day long, so again I’m covered. The funniest part though, is the various reactions you get when you’ve paired a jade green blouse with punchy purple pants. Some ladies at the grocery store give you the once-over, you know, that up and down glance with implied question mark. Others, like the facetious gym teacher at my school will do a double take and then say “I love the green and purple together.” Love it. It’s trends like this that make me think of The Man Repeller, a blog built on hilarious trends. And honestly, what won’t we try next?
