Can’t you tell?!

April 6, 2011

Worn Faux leather jacket (in the last photo): Target, cardigan: Gap, dress: Trina Turk via Nordstrom Rack, belt: H&M, flower: handmade for me by the fabulous Amber Lena, shoes: Butter from MIL’s old shoe store, handbag: vintage Coach, thrifted.

Details Yesterday was a tough day, so I was determined to start my Wednesday with a smile on my face. Enter bright colors and one of my favorite vintage-inspired prints. I’ve been looking for more {affordable} skinny belts for some time now and on a recent pass through at H&M I found they had a ton of new fun colors in stock for spring. Check out pronto if you’re into that sort of thing. I love how ladylike these little shoes are, and they remind me of spectators {although they’re not} for their black on white design.

Turns out… this outfit, plus my commitment to smiles and positivity made for a fantastic day!  Life as a first year teacher has it’s ups and downs. I’ve been on pins and needles all week waiting for my “drop in” observation and am feeling the pressure of the countdown to state testing. The important thing for me is keeping it fun, feeling free to laugh at the amazing and silly little things kids do, and remember how lucky I am to be working in a job/school/profession that inspires me and fulfills me in more ways than I can count.
