Happy Thursday, everyone! I’m sorry for my mini-absence this week. It’s conference week at school and that plus some other social outings has kept me crazy busy this week. Luckily for me conferences begin today and all the prep work is complete so I’ll be spending today and tomorrow teaching half a day and meeting with my students and their parents. I do student led conferences in my classroom and they are so satisfying. This year I taught my second graders how to make PowerPoint presentations and they will use them to share their strengths, opportunities and goals with their families. I can’t wait to see them in action. They are enjoying the process so much.
This outfit is from Sunday morning when I threw on some duds to get a haircut – a long overdue haircut. I’m in love with this jacket! I’ve been eyeing a similar one at J.Crew for a few years, but had a hard time pulling the trigger due to the price tag. This Old Navy version was a steal and captures a similar feeling, plus the color is a great pop to my fall wardrobe. I’ve worn it everyday this week. Not bad for a coat that after discounts cost less than $50.
