Worn Dress: Trina Turk via Nordstrom Rack, lavender t-shirt: Banana Republic, brown tights: Spanx, booties: H&M, necklace: LOFT.

Details Beyond just managing my 30 items for the 30 for 30, I was also trying to put together an outfit that reflected our decade themes for dance week at school.  Monday was 1960s/70s so I knew the cheerful floral print of this dress had to be a part of the outfit.  Layering this tee underneath made sure that the dress wasn’t covered up by any jackets or sweaters – totally bright and out there.  Plus, I had to throw on my “go-go” boots.  Of course.

It was also a happy coincidence that the dress made me feel like a Valentine’s Day ambassador for my classroom and our party in the afternoon.  After a long day at work, husband and I celebrated in a low key fashion by making heart-shaped burgers and “love salads” at home, exchanging gifts (nearly identical) and blowing up the air mattress in front of sofa in the living room and watching one of our favorite lovey movies, Love & Sex.
