I haven’t worn overalls since I was in the… seventh grade? I had a favorite pair from Gap that were just so cool back then. Not to mention incredibly comfortable. Although I’ve seen them sprouting up in various magazines and fashion blogs, I was hesitant to try a pair. I’m a very happy size 6-8, but always thought you had to be super skinny to pull them off. Although they don’t exactly make me look thin, I feel so cool wearing them. I loved pairing them with this black silk blouse and ankle strap pumps. It really dressed them up a bit, even though this outfit retains a decidedly casual vibe.

Since my first wearing, I’ve worn these overalls a bunch. I’m excited to keep my eye out for more tops that will look treat underneath them, and anxious to try a tank under them later in the season when things really warm up. I was happy to see that one of my favorite style bloggers, Jessica Quirk of What I Wore bought this same pair from Old Navy and styled them up super casually last week. Check out her outfit here. I, too, wore mine with a navy and white striped tee, which I’ll be sharing soon in more photos from my trip to San Francisco.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this gorgeous bag from Michael Kors. I’ve long been wanting one of his structured satchels, and finally found just the right one. I received it as part of a sponsored post that’s coming up soon, but I just couldn’t wait to use it. I love all of the pieces I received from ShopStyle and Zappos, and can’t wait to show you the whole outfit I picked out.
