Hey friends! It’s been such a busy couple of weeks! I didn’t mean to take a week away from the blog, but sometimes life happens. Last week included me working until ten nearly every night with meetings up the wazoo, before, during and after school each day. We also had our annual Open House that was more of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) themed night this year. It was a ton of fun but a lot of work, too. On top of everything else my mama and stepdad came to visit this weekend for Easter, which was sweet relief of overindulging at various restaurants around town after my hectic work week. We went to several of my favorite Seattle places which really inspired me to start putting together some Seattle city guides to answer all of the questions I get about recommendations for tourists. Look for that coming up on the blog in the next couple months. If you have any specific Seattle questions for me, please leave them in the comments.

Today’s outfit is what I like to call an “adult pajama day” kind of outfit. It’s perfect for those Mondays when you don’t want to get out of bed, but still need to look professional. I found this darling little short sleeved sweater (kate spade!) while shopping recently at my local Goodwill. I can’t say enough about thrift shopping, especially for those who are on a budget like me. It’s a great way to keep your budget in check while still finding some sweet new additions to your wardrobe this spring. I’m car shopping right now, so staying on budget is key.
