There’s this thing I do when the seasons change. You know, when it’s almost spring and the idea of no-tights outfits starts to take over your brain? On second thought, maybe that’s just me… Well, in those situations, I just go for it. Freezing legs aside, I try to will it to be spring with my outfit choices. This year, it’s almost been in reverse. Despite the bitter cold the last couple weekends, it has been simply beautiful out in Seattle. All the leaves have changed, but are somehow still holding onto the trees, the sun has been shining and all I want to do is frolic in my sleeveless jacket without tights, pretending a fluffy pashmina and leather gloves would somehow compensate. I think this may have been my last “no-tights” outfit of 2015. But that won’t stop me from wearing my jeans with the holes in the knees

I’ve always been one to remix my wardrobe, but lately, with a few key updates, my fall wardrobe has felt brand new again. It’s funny how just a few pieces can make you see old things in new ways. I’ve had this dress for years now, but it felt brand new when I stepped out with my sleeveless jacket over it and my new-to-me metallic platform heels. I knew I was in love with these shoes, but the amount of wear I’ve gotten out of them in just a few weeks has been a bit of a surprise. They were another great find at my local Goodwill store, a total lifesaver when I’m craving something new, but don’t want to break the budget.
