I am so excited right now! You are looking at the first photos taken with my new tripod and camera remote! For anyone reading this who is also a style blogger you know the trials and tribulations associated with trying to snap your outfit photos. Some are so lucky as to have a roommate, boyfriend or spouse who is ready, willing and available to take photos on the regular and has an eye for that sort of thing. This was somewhat true for me in the past, but is no longer and although I have some mighty fine photographers in my life, I can’t always count on them to take care of my photography. I used to take all my own shots but my old tripod broke, plus I used to live on a super busy street that made me feel really silly while out there taking pictures with bunches of passersby apologizing and homeless people asking me for money and such. Suffice it to say the stars have aligned and I’m now able to take my own photos at my leisure and I couldn’t be happier.

This little striped dress called my name the moment I saw it and fit like a glove. It. Had. To. Be. Mine. I’m trying to save some money this summer, but this was one little splurge (granted I got it at half off) that I couldn’t resist. I also got this little bag on clearance on my trip to the Kate Spade Outlet store a few weeks ago and I’ve been using it like crazy. It’s the perfect size and fits just what I need for a quick errand or evening out. I linked this outfit up with Bri Marie of Work Clothes I Suppose for her Third Thursday Threads feature. Take a look at the rest of the striped outfits here.
