Happy Monday, everyone! I’m so glad that last week is behind me and I can move on to bigger and better things. Although it contained lots of fun including a fashion show and hosting wine club with my sorority girls at my place, as well as a much needed trip to visit my family, I’m happily moving past the stress of last week and deeper into October, fall, and a new season in my life.
Visiting my mama and stepdad was such a great idea. I’m so glad I made the long, 5-hour drive. My mama and I had a lazy coffee morning followed by fantastic shopping (I picked up a few great things including this Target top!) and dinner at their friends’ house filled with great food, laughs and conversation. This is what I wore to dinner: my favorite jeans (which have somehow never made it onto the blog until now), my new little top, and a gorgeous necklace I borrowed from my mother’s closet. Despite my efforts to slip it into my overnight bag, I was unable to steal it from her. Here’s hoping she tires of it someday and sends it my way. And, yes, I thrifted this handbag with gift certificates given to me by Value Village. Still my best thrifting find ever. Despite the fact that I’m battling a sucky cold, I had a great time, got lots of sleep, and came home rich with happiness (not to mention some other great things you’ll see on the blog later this week).
