There are so many reasons I love this outfit. First off, I’m finally posting some photos of one of my favorite dresses. Although autumn is supposed to be on the way, we had another lovely day in Seattle and I thought I’d sneak in one more wear of this little number. If you follow me on instagram you may remember that I wore it on my birthday, yet neglected to snap a photo of it that day. For that reason I’ll always think of this one as the birthday dress. I had such a lovely birthday and this dress made me feel amazing all night.

Next up is this little jacket. Does anyone remember the first few seasons of Project Runway when Banana Republic was a sponsor? And they would always have a BR challenge and the winners would have their designs made and sold in select Banana Republic stores. This little jacket is one of those items that I happily bought many years ago. Although it didn’t fit for many years, I found it recently and it fits! I thought it looked great over this dress.

Lastly, look what I made! This little clutch! I recently got the sewing bug again and have been snapping up patterns and fabric like a mad woman. I have a few projects in the works, but this is my first in quite awhile. I made it pretty fast last Sunday and am so proud of it. I really want to make a few more and am itching to get my hands on some leather to make a leather version of it, too. This fabric was a total impulse buy when my heart leapt at the sight of it. It’s so fun and whimsical. It will be fun to add a little kick to any outfit. Sometimes all the outfit stars align and give you one fantastic outfit.
