Happy Monday, everyone! Today’s post is special to me for a couple of reasons. First and foremost I had the pleasure of working with my good friend Oliver again on some beauty fun that we’ll be sharing soon. The other reason? This outfit is entirely thrifted. Every last piece. I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile, and here it finally is! If you’re a longtime reader (or even a new one!) you know that I live for the thrill of the thrift hunt. I think it’s important to note that this outfit wasn’t found on one single trip, but over the course of a few years through visits to various thrift stores. I love how fresh this outfit feels despite the fact that it wasn’t bought off the rack last week.

I’ve gotten a little “onesie” crazy so far in 2016 and have tried out a jumpsuit, overalls, and a romper. This is my second romper (from my recent thrift haul back in April), and with it’s skinny straps (hidden in these photos) this one is perfect for those hot days to come. I love it paired with this simple, yet detailed cardigan. The beads add so much interest to an otherwise basic black cotton sweater. While lusting after some SJP red pumps, I discovered this pair while out thrifting one day and they were the exact color I’d been after. I have found they add a little pop to a lot of outfits in my closet. I found my vintage Coach “Court” bag years ago and have gotten a ton of use out of it. It’s the perfect little black bag and is deceptively large inside. I think it’s time to take it over to leather care for a tune-up though, to give it a new life this spring. Check out more of my thrift shopping adventures for some inspiration to get out there and find yourself some treasures.
Now onto the beauty! I’ve worked with my friend Oliver Villafuerte (local makeup artist and skincare coach) a few times on the blog (here and here) and was thrilled when he asked me to collaborate with him on a beauty video and related outfit post. I put together this little black and white number knowing the color would be bold for his makeup look. Magenta lips, shimmery blue/green shadows, glowy skin and false eyelashes really make this look pop against the black and white. Stay tuned for the video we shot together coming up on the blog very soon! If you’re in the Seattle area and are in need of a makeup lesson, beauty look for a special event, or looking for a rejuvenating facial or other beauty treatment, Oliver is definitely your guy.
