Hello friends! Today I’m linking up with Fran of Franish for her monthly clothing budget link-up. It’s been a long time since I tried this, and I wasn’t entirely successful the first time, but I’m game to give it another go. I’m working on my finances, and budgeting for the unnecessary is a big part of that.

With the start of summer I was on the hunt for a crop of new dresses. I was lucky to find #1 and #4 at the cutest little shop in Issaquah called Lucky You, which I’m hoping to share more of with you soon. They are both brands I hadn’t heard of before, but are just what I was looking for in easy breezy summer dresses. I have already worn #1 three times although it’s yet to appear on the blog. I absolutely LOVE this dress. I think it will fade into fall easily, too, especially because it’s black and white. I haven’t worn #4 or #5 yet, but am excited to get them into my summer rotation. #5 is Maeve brand (Anthropologie), and is kind of a greenish brown color with an elastic waist. It’s a little on the big side for me and I might have it altered at some point, but I’m looking forward to wearing it with my woven cognac leather belt and some booties or sandals. The sleeves roll down into long sleeves, so it will work great for fall, too. I love seasonless clothes. I found it at Goodwill along with #2, a Saint James Breton stripe top, a fashion staple I’ve wanted forever and was happy to find so cheaply. I’ve already worn it here and it’s already a favorite.
I am setting my July budget for $100, and don’t have much plans to shop this month, so hopefully I’ll keep it under that. I have a $50 Nordstrom giftcard and a $25 AmEx gift card that I’m planning to use for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I just got the catalog and it’s full of lovely things. I’m also cleaning out my closet (yet again) and have bagged up a bunch of stuff to send to thredUP for some extra cash, too, so hopefully that will help me pick up a couple cute things at Anniversary.
