Some big changes are brewing in the Bradley household. If you follow me on Instagram you may have picked up that I’ve been apartment hunting for weeks. We’ve been thinking long and hard about where we want to be and what we want out of life and have decided to move…a whopping 4 blocks. I’m thrilled about our new apartment and all of it’s charming details. It was built in 1922 and is in the heart of Capitol Hill and filled with light and character (glass doorknobs!). We’re moving in mid-February and I can’t wait to share it along with all of my DIY decorating projects along the way. I’ve been pinning ideas like crazy and can’t wait to get started crafting our new nest.

On Friday night I posted this tweet while out shopping to celebrate the three-day-weekend…

To my surprise I found a sweet response to which I found the perfect window of opportunity to share a little of my shopping woes with one of my favorite local companies.

I love it when twitter brings smalltime shopper and bigtime retail company together. Like two friends sharing ideas over coffee. So if you come to find more fresh colors of (the best!) Spanx tights at your local Nordstrom soon, you’ll know who to thank. My work here is done.
Follow me on twitter and join in my campaign for more fun colorful Spanx today!

September is notoriously a busy month for me and undoubtedly a tough time to get posting here on the blog. Here’s a little bit of what I’ve been up to this month thanks to the photos on my iPhone…
Organizing my closet for fall and finding a place for everything. This included buying some new hangers… | View of the Space Needle from inside the Chihuly Glass Museum! More to come in a future post. | Creating fun stuff for my new class of second graders. They are the best! | Daily chuckles from his office to mine; husband and I keeping in touch even though our schedules are SO busy right now. | A super fun art project with the kiddos thanks to my best friend Pinterest

It’s pretty amazing how far our iPhones have come. I can’t believe the quality of the photos my little phone takes. Although it’s 8 megapixels can’t compete with my Canon, I love having my little picket-sized backup on the go when I don’t want to lug my camera around with me.
